Andrew J. Rader, esq.

Andrew Rader is one of about 1% of Florida lawyers who have become board certified by the Florida Bar in civil trial practice. This recognition by the Florida Bar was earned from Mr. Rader’s demonstrated excellence in legal knowledge (by examination) and actual trial experience.

With more than 30 years of legal service across Florida and New York, Rader’s groundbreaking IVF litigation set a powerful precedent in reproductive justice, helping Florida become one of the first states to recognize emotional damages for the negligent destruction of embryos.  A distinguished pioneer in the Fertility legal space and board-certified in Civil Trial law, Rader recently received the 2025 Reproductive Justice Advocacy Award and was featured in The World’s Best Magazine Edition on Law and Innovation.

Rader’s unique scope ranges from empowering clients through IVF contract review to litigating reproductive negligence, including embryo destruction, IVF mix-ups and unregulated behavior in the in vitro fertilization sector.

He created the first Continuing Legal Education (CLE) virtual course on IVF litigation for LawPracticeCLE (LPCLE), and also launched a Florida Bar-approved, in-person CLE panel alongside leading Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility specialists.

Rader is a member of SEEDS Growing Ethics and will serve as a panelist at its upcoming national Spring Conference in Atlanta, GA. A strong advocate for IVF and REI, he is also a vocal proponent of greater oversight and regulation in a fertility industry that remains largely unregulated. He is currently collaborating with a South Florida legislator on proposed changes to expand the time frame in which negligent providers may be held liable, and frequently speaks at fertility and wellness symposiums on the legal, ethical, and regulatory issues shaping assisted reproduction, with an emphasis on empowering patients through informed decision-making.

His cases and expert perspective have been featured in the media, including NBCnews.com, Yahoo!news, Parents.com, The South Florida Sun Sentinel,  CBS Austin,  Daily Business Review, NBC WESH2, TapInto, Telemundo, Savoir Faire Magazine, AOL News, KOMO News, and more.
